Warranty and complaints
How long is the repair warranty?
All repairs at MacLife are covered by a 12-month warranty that includes the replaced parts and the service performed. The details are described in our warranty policy.
What does the warranty not cover?
Mechanical damage that occurs after the repair (drops, liquid damage), the effects of improper use, interference by third parties, and natural battery wear (we guarantee a minimum condition of 80% for 12 months).
How do I file a warranty claim?
Contact us by phone or e-mail, describe the problem and come to the service centre with the device and the proof of repair. We process claims within 14 business days. If the claim is accepted — we repair it free of charge, and if repair is impossible, we refund the cost.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash and card at the service centre, BLIK, bank transfer (prepayment for courier orders) and deferred payment for regular business customers.
Do you issue VAT invoices?
Yes, we issue VAT invoices for all repairs — electronically or in person at the service centre.
When is payment due?
For walk-in visits and with the MacLife courier — after you collect the repaired device. When shipping on your own — prepayment after you accept the quote.
Is my data safe during the repair?
Yes. We store devices in a locked, 24/7 monitored warehouse; only authorised technicians have access, and we do not browse personal content. Even so, we recommend making a backup before the repair.
Do you make a data backup?
Yes, we offer backup as a service (from 50 PLN), though we also recommend making your own copy before handing in the device. Details on methods and prices can be found in our Apple backup guide. MacLife is not responsible for data loss — which is why a backup is so important.
What parts do you use for repairs?
Original Apple parts (when available) and high-quality replacements from certified suppliers in the EU and the USA. All parts are covered by a warranty.
Can I supply my own parts?
We do not recommend it — we cannot guarantee the quality of a customer's part or cover such a repair with a full warranty. We can fit a customer-supplied part, but then the warranty covers only the fitting service.
How much does diagnostics cost?
Basic diagnostics is free (5–15 minutes). Extended electronics diagnostics costs 349 PLN (iPhone/iPad and MacBook/iMac), and liquid-damage diagnostics — 250 PLN for iPhones and iPads and 350 PLN for MacBooks (ultrasonic cleaning + analysis). Extended and liquid-damage diagnostics is always chargeable and added to the repair cost — you pay it even if you decide not to proceed with the repair.
How long does diagnostics take?
Basic — 10–15 minutes at the service centre. Extended (electronics) and liquid-damage diagnostics — usually 1–3 business days, depending on the service workload.
Do you repair devices after liquid damage?
Yes. After liquid-damage diagnostics (iPhone and iPad 250 PLN, MacBook 350 PLN — always chargeable and added to the repair cost) we quote the repair individually. The sooner a flooded device reaches us, the better the chance of success — do not try to turn it on.
Do you offer express repairs?
Yes, for most iPhone repairs — same day (orders placed by 11:00 a.m.), for an additional fee of 180 PLN, with a walk-in visit. We confirm availability by phone.
Do you offer loan devices?
Yes, for selected repairs — an iPhone for 49 PLN/day with a refundable deposit of 500 PLN. Availability is limited, so it is worth booking in advance. The customer is responsible for the loan device.
What if the repair takes longer than announced?
We inform you about the delay and provide a new completion date. For longer delays, you can withdraw free of charge.
Which models do you repair?
iPhone (from iPhone 6 to the latest models), iPad (from iPad Air 2 / mini 4), MacBook and iMac (from 2012), while Mac mini and Mac Pro — after an individual consultation. We do not repair devices with an active iCloud lock without proof of purchase and the owner signing out.
Where are you located and what are your opening hours?
Warsaw Mokotów (ul. Puławska 31), Warsaw Praga (ul. Grochowska 221) and Poznań (ul. Głogowska 26a). All locations are open Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. Full details, directions and parking information can be found on the locations page.
