Warranty scope — 12 months on every repair
MacLife provides a 12-month warranty on all completed repairs, counted from the date the customer collects the device. That is twice as long as the standard 6 months offered by many repair shops — and a clear statement that we stand behind the quality of the parts we use and the work we perform.
- 12 months of warranty on the part and the service
- Battery: guaranteed minimum 80% health for 12 months
- Warranty repair: free of charge; if impossible — full refund
- You are additionally entitled to the statutory warranty (2 years), independent of our warranty
What does the warranty cover?
Replaced parts
The warranty covers material defects of replacement parts, malfunctioning of the replaced component and its premature wear (batteries are an exception — see below).
The service performed
We are responsible for installation defects, unprofessional repair workmanship and problems resulting from improper diagnostics. If the fault we repaired returns due to our error — we fix it under the warranty.
Batteries — special conditions
Batteries are a consumable, which is why separate rules apply to them:
- We guarantee minimum 80% battery health for 12 months
- If the condition drops below 80% before 12 months are up — we replace the battery under the warranty
- Natural wear below 80% after 12 months is not covered by the warranty
You can check the battery status on an iPhone in Settings → Battery → Battery Health. On a MacBook — in the system report (cycle count and "Normal" status).
What does the warranty NOT cover?
The warranty does not cover damage that occurred after the repair and does not result from our work:
- Mechanical damage after the repair — cracked displays, housing damage, effects of drops or crushing
- External factors — flooding, moisture, overheating, power surges, force majeure
- Improper use — cheap non-original chargers, software modifications (jailbreak), DIY repair attempts
- Third-party interference — repairs at another shop, self-replacement of parts, opening the device by unauthorized persons
- Other components — parts not covered by the repair, and problems that existed before the repair but were not disclosed by the customer

Your rights: warranty vs. statutory warranty
The MacLife warranty is our voluntary commitment. Independently of it, under Polish law you are entitled to:
- Filing a claim under the warranty (12 months)
- Filing a claim under the statutory warranty (2 years from the date of purchase of the service)
- The right to an independent expert opinion
- The option to refer the case to the Consumer Ombudsman
This warranty policy is effective from 1 January 2026. MacLife reserves the right to make changes with 30 days' notice — changes do not apply to warranties granted earlier.
Frequently asked questions
How long is the warranty on a repair at MacLife?
The warranty lasts 12 months from the date you collect the device and covers both the replaced parts and the service performed. For a warranty repair we issue an additional 6-month warranty document.
Does the warranty cover a replaced battery?
Yes, on special terms: we guarantee minimum 80% battery health for 12 months. If the condition drops below 80% before the year is up, we replace the battery under the warranty. Natural wear below 80% after 12 months is not covered.
What if the warranty repair turns out to be impossible?
If the fault is covered by the warranty but the repair is impossible, we refund the full amount paid for the repair. Claims are processed within up to 14 business days, and the warranty repair itself is performed within 3–7 business days after the claim is accepted.
Will I get a loan device while my claim is processed?
Yes — for claims lasting more than 14 days, free of charge, with a refundable deposit (500 zł for an iPhone, 1000 zł for a MacBook). Availability is limited; requests are handled in the order they are received.
What is the difference between the warranty and the statutory warranty?
The MacLife warranty (12 months) is our voluntary commitment to repair your device free of charge. The statutory warranty (2 years) arises from legal provisions and applies independently. You can use both — choosing whichever route is more favourable in a given situation.
